Google Play Store app purchase refund window extended to two hours

First reduced from 24 hours to 15 minutes in 2010, now Google has extended that window to 2 hours which means you have a bit more time to decide if you want to purchase an app or not.

Google has quietly extended the refund window for Play Store app refunds from a mere 15 minutes to two hours. The change was added to the Play Store support page (see image below) but not announced anywhere else.

Before the change in 2010 to the controversial 15-minute refund window, Android users enjoyed a full 24 hours to play with an app before deciding whether or not to get a full refund, but this was changed at the behest of app developers who lost out to casual gamers or app surfers having a full day to play with the app and then getting their money back.

Time will tell how developers and users react to the new window, but it could mean less 1 star ratings for apps from users who feel that they were duped with their purchase.

At any rate, the refund window was, and still is more than others offer.
