Here's where you can watch OnePlus announce the OnePlus 8 series

OnePlus is about to take the wraps off of its latest flagship series of smartphones, the OnePlus 8 series. Thanks to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, there's no in-person event this time around, and it's all on a live-stream.

The event will take place at 11am Eastern Time, and you can watch it here.

As for what to expect, both the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro will pack Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 5G chipset. The Pro will pack a 6.78-inch 120Hz 1440p OLED display, and it will also be the first OnePlus smartphone to support wireless charging. The wireless charging will be fast as well, at 30W.

The regular OnePlus 8 won't get wireless charging though, and it will come with a 6.55-inch FHD+ 90Hz OLED display. As for the camera, the Pro will have a quad-camera configuration, with a standard lens, an ultra-wide sensor, a telephoto lens, and an extra five-megapixel camera. The non-Pro will have a regular triple-lens setup.

The OnePlus 8 series is also coming in a bunch of new colors. We'll see colors like Ultramarine Blue, Onyx Black, and Glacial Blue.
