HP announces new Pavilion and Pavilion x360

HP has announced two new laptop devices alongside its new Pavilion All-in-One PCs this week, the Pavilion and Pavilion x360. The new laptops come in a variety of colours including Natural Silver, Modern Gold, Dragonfly Blue, Cardinal Red, Blizzard White, Onyx Black, and Sport Purple.

HP Pavilion x360

HP added a new 15.6” x360 laptop alongside the 11.6” and 13.3” models. The 11.6” and 13.3” models are now 12-14 percent thinner, with a lightweight design compared to previous generations. All the devices received audio custom tuning by experts at B&O PLAY for on the go entertainment. Prices start at $379.99 and devices will become available at different points in the second half of May.

Other features of the HP Pavilion x360 include:

  • Up to nine hours and 15 minutes of battery life depending on the model.
  • HD or option for full HD IPS displays on the 13.3” and 15.6” diagonal models.
  • Up to 16GB of memory and up to 512GB SSD with the option for hard drive storage up to 1TB, depending on model.
  • Choice of the latest Intel Celeron, Intel Pentium or up to the 6th Generation Intel Core i7 processors subject to model.
  • A full-size keyboard now offering optional backlit keyboard on 13.3” and 15.6” diagonal versions and 1.5mm key travel for a comfortable typing experience.

HP Pavilion

The HP Pavilion comes in two models: 14” and 15.6”, both 11-22 percent thinner and lighter, with smaller footprints compared to the last generation. Although the new HP Pavilions aren't on sale just yet, prices will start at $539.99. HP also plan to release an HP Power Pavilion which comes with a 17.3” display and prices starting at $899.99. The 15.6” and the 17.3” devices will be available from May 18 while the 14” device will be ready for June 12.

Other features of the HP Pavilion include:

  • Up to 6th Generation Intel Core i7 processor options with optional NVIDIA GeForce 940MX or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M graphics or 7th generation AMD A12-9700P Quad-Core processor with optional Radeon R7 Graphics on select models.
  • Up to 16GB of memory and up to 512GB SSD or up to 2TB for single storage options or dual storage options with up to 2TB HDD and 128GB SSD on select models.
  • An optical disc drive for select Pavilion models.
  • Edge to edge HD or FHD IPS displays with optional touch for more interactive experience on the PC depending on the model.
