Lenovo announces new content for Star Wars: Jedi Challenges from The Last Jedi

Last year when Lenovo fully unveiled Star Wars: Jedi Challenges at IFA, it was certainly one of the more interesting devices to show off. Offering Holochess, Strategic Combat, and most importantly, Lightsaber Battles, it seemed to be every Star Wars fan's dream. The company promised that there would be more content available down the line, and today, we're seeing its first new expansion.

All of the new content is based around the latest movie, Star Wars: The Last Jedi. There's a new lightsaber fight in which the user can fight two Praetorian Guards, which is actually the first where the player is facing two opponents at once. In Assault mode, there are new enemies and levels, including the First Order Stormtrooper Executioner and Riot Control Stormtrooper.

For Strategic Combat, there's a new planet, Crait. Players will be able to battle "new enemies and vehicles including the formidable First Order AT-M6 walker." And finally, players will be able to earn Porgs as rewards.

When we reviewed Star Wars: Jedi Challenges after it first came out, we absolutely loved it. After all, it's an augmented reality experience where you can have a lightsaber fight. There's not much else that's necessary for that to be a great experience.

Lenovo says that the The Last Jedi content pack will be made available this month, at no additional charge.
