LG adds 17-inch and 2-in-1 models to its gram laptop line, launching at CES 2019

LG will introduce two new entries to its gram line of laptops at CES 2019. The new models include a 17-inch variant and a 14-inch convertible, all powered by 8th Gen Intel Core processors.

LG has announced today that it will showcase two new laptop models under its gram lineup at CES 2019 set to take place next month in Las Vegas, Nevada. The new entries to its ultralight family of laptops include a 17-inch model (17Z990) and a 2-in-1 convertible variant (model 14T990).

Under the hood, the new LG gram laptops will be powered by Intel's eigth-generation Core processors, paired with up to 16GB of DDR4 memory and up to 512GB solid-state storage. Both laptop models can also accommodate an extra SSD.

It's worth noting, though, that the Thunderbolt 3 option will be available in select markets only. Jang Ik-hwan, head of LG’s IT business division, said:

Last year, the South Korean electronics company unveiled 14-inch and 13-inch models of the gram at CES 2018. This family of laptops is supposed to balance a high level of portability and performance.
