LG announces UltraGear gaming monitor featuring 1ms IPS display

LG Electronics announced today its new gaming monitor, the UltraGear. The South Korean electronics giant branded it as the world's first 1 millisecond (ms) IPS display.

The monitor's Nano IPS technology is supposed to be capable of producing vivid colors, super-fast response time, and a 144Hz refresh rate that can be overclocked to 175Hz. It comes in two models, the 37.5-inch (model 38GL950G) and 27-inch (model 27GL850) variants.

The gaming monitors will be released next month. The 27GL850 model will be up for pre-orders from July 1 in the U.S. only, with plans for European rollout in the third quarter of 2019. Both models are on display at Nvidia's exhibit space at E3 in Los Angeles until June 13.
