LG Wing shown off in new video with a secondary screen that swivels horizontally

In May of this year, a new LG smartphone was reported to be in the works, featuring a dual screen that could form a T shape. Now, a new video has leaked, showing off the device in action, codenamed LG Wing.

The video shows how the LG Wing's main display can sit in portrait orientation while the secondary screen can swivel in a horizontal manner. In the previous render of the device, the main screen was shown to rotate horizontally in order to reveal the auxiliary screen.

The video also offers a glimpse at a specific use case in which the swiveling secondary screen can be useful, for instance, when playing music in the car while the main display is used for full-screen navigation. Then, when a phone call arrives, the secondary screen handles it to avoid interruption to the driving directions on the main screen.

That said, the video does not demonstrate how the secondary display flips out into landscape orientation. Interestingly, there's neither a notch nor a punch-hole cutout on both displays. The main screen is rumored to be 6.8 inches diagonally while its secondary display may be a 4-inch screen. It could be powered by a Snapdragon 7-series chipset with 5G support, with a possible release slated for later this year.
