Microsoft and others heed the call for free nuggets

You can never underestimate the power of the internet. A teenager in his quest for 18 million retweets for a year's worth of free Wendy's nuggets has garnered support from Microsoft and Amazon.

You should never doubt the power of the internet and especially social media. A few days ago, a young man named Carter Wilkerson asked Wendy's via Twitter how many retweets it would take to earn a year's worth of free chicken nuggets. The fast food chain replied with an almost impossible number of 18 million. This would likely discourage a majority of folks, but it appears that Wilkerson was up for a challenge as he responded with a confident "Consider it done".

Now, this is the part that gets interesting as Microsoft and a few other companies have banded together to rally with Wilkerson in his quest for free nuggets.

With the help of the internet, the retweets have reached a colossal number of nearly 1.8 million. Although Wilkerson will have to amass a number ten times his current earned, it looks like there could be other ways that he could still get that year of free nuggets.

T-Mobile CEO John Legere has reached out and has offered a free year of nuggets and more if he makes the switch from AT&T to T-Mobile. That's not a bad offer if things don't work out in the long run.
