Microsoft announces two new Xbox 360 bundles

If you have yet to get your hands on an Xbox 360 console, Microsoft should make it easier for you to jump right into playing games on its best selling gaming hardware. The Major Nelson web site has revealed that Microsoft will offer two new Xbox 360 hardware bundles, each of which will come with a selection of games included in the box.

If you are a hardcore gamer, Microsoft's $299 bundle might be for you. For that price you can get a Xbox 360 console with a 250 GB hard drive with two free games. One is Halo: Reach, the 2010 released sci-fi first person shooter from developer Bungie. The other is Fable III, the recent fantasy RPG from developer Lionhead. The bundle also comes with three free months of Xbox Live Gold service.

If you enjoy playing games with your friends at home, the $399 bundle might be the one to check out. Once again you get an Xbox 360 console with a 250 GB hard drive but you also get the Kinect motion controller camera. You also get two Kinect exclusive games; the Microsoft published Kinect Adventures as well as Carnival Games: Monkey See Monkey Do from publisher Take Two Interactive. This bundle also comes with a free three free month subscription for Xbox Live Gold.

Keep in mind that Microsoft is also selling a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 bundle on November 8 that has a 320 GB hard drive-based Xbox 360 console with Modern Warfare 3 graphics, two controllers with the same graphics, and a free copy of the first person shooter, for $399.
