Microsoft celebrates 11 years of Windows Insider Program with new wallpapers

In October 2014, on the cusp of Windows 10, Microsoft announced the Windows Insider Program. It kicked off a new era of public access to pre-release Windows builds and a new way for Microsoft to get feedback from millions of users across the world. Eleven years later, Windows 10 is effectively dead. The operating system no longer receives updates outside the Extended Security Updates program, but the Windows Insider Program is still alive. Today, it celebrates its eleventh birthday.

Microsoft is celebrating the occasion with two new wallpapers for everyone to get. Every year, with each anniversary, Microsoft releases unique wallpapers. Last year, the celebratory wallpapers were filled with throwbacks to the classic Windows UI elements, and this time, the Microsoft Design team came up with two wallpapers with fabric-like elements.

As usual, the new wallpapers are available in dark and light variants. Also, you can have them in a traditional widescreen or square variant so that they look best on your PC, tablet, or smartphone. Here is the light variant:

Celebrating 11 years of the Windows Insider Program is a bittersweet moment for many, as only one week ago, Microsoft put Windows 10, the operating system that started it all, to its well-deserved rest. And now, with full focus on Windows 11, Copilot, and AI, Microsoft is looking forward to the next 11 years of Windows Insider:
