Microsoft now offering $200 off entry-level Surface Book in the US

Microsoft has launched yet another deal on one of its Surface devices. This time, it's cut the price of its entry-level Surface Book - with Core i5 CPU, 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD - from $1,499 to $1,299.

Microsoft has kicked off another deal on its Surface Book in the United States, having ended another promotional offer on the Surface Pro 4 there a few days ago.

The company is now offering $200 off its entry-level Surface Book, which has a 6th-generation (Skylake) Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB SSD storage - but not the discrete GPU, as that's available on some of the pricier models in the range. The deal reduces the device's price from $1,499 to $1,299 - a savings of just over 13% - and will remain available until April 22.

Following recent rumors that an all-new Surface Book might not appear quite as soon as some had expected, Microsoft opened pre-orders for its more powerful Surface Book with Performance Base models in 13 new markets last week.

Microsoft's Surface Studio all-in-one PC is also available to pre-order in three new markets.
