Microsoft releases Windows 10 for PCs build 14342 to the Slow ring

Microsoft is offering Windows 10 build 14342 for PCs to the Slow ring today, the first build for the Slow ring since the firm's Build 2016 developer conference, offering quite a few new features.

Users on the Slow ring have reason to rejoice today, as Microsoft is now offering Windows 10 build 14342 for PCs to them. The build was released to Fast ring users last week by accident, causing a late-night release.

While the build in itself did contain a few new features, for Slow ring users it contains even more. After all, the previous build for that ring was 14295.1005, so this is the first one since Microsoft's Build 2016 developer conference.

If you're on the Slow ring, you can look forward to features such as Bash, Windows Ink, an all-new Start Menu, and more.

Microsoft also promises that ISOs for 14342 will be made available soon, as is typical for when a Slow ring build for PCs is released. Windows 10 Mobile users on the Slow ring are still being offered build 14295.1005, and at the current time, there's no official word on when they might get a new build.
