Microsoft to go on Xbox One road tour to some of its retail stores

Microsoft will be launching the Xbox One on November 22nd but before that happens, the company will be giving people who live near some of its retail store a chance to demo some games for the next generation console.

In a post on Major Nelson, Microsoft's head of Xbox Live programming, Larry Hryb, announced that the Xbox One-Microsoft Store road tour will begin one week from today as part of the grand opening celebration of the Burlington Mall location in Burlington, Massachusetts. The free event will take place from 7:30-9 pm at that location on September 19th. The next day, September 20th, the road tour stops by the Microsoft Store at The Shops at Prudential Center in Boston, Massachusetts, again from 7:30-9 pm.

In addition to game demos of titles like Killer Instinct and Forza Motorsport 5, there will be special giveaways and a chance to chat with members of the Xbox team at the free events.

Microsoft will bring the Xbox One road tour to Orlando, Florida at the Mall at Millennia location on October 23rd and again at the West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on October 27th. There will also be an event at the Microsoft Store at the Scottsdale Fashion Square in Scottsdale, Arizona but that won't happen until December 6th, a couple of weeks after the Xbox One will be released. More dates and locations for the tour will be announced in the coming weeks.
