Microsoft to launch massive Xbox One preview tour in U.S. and Europe

We are less than two months away from when Microsoft will launch the Xbox One console in 13 markets worldwide on November 22nd. Today, the company revealed a massive preview tour that will allow people in 75 cities in the U.S., Canada and Europe to get their hands on the console and Xbox One launch games in the next several weeks.

The events begin next week, on October 1st, and will happen in two catagories. One is the Xbox One Test Drive tour. Microsoft states, "Meet us at a Test Drive stop in one of the cities below and we'll put a controller in your hands, a game on the screen, and a spring in your step that'll carry you through to launch." You can see a list of the cities on the Xbox.com website.

The other category is the Area One parties, which will be for people age 18 years and older. Microsoft says, "Drop in on one of our Area One parties to experience the new Xbox One console before it goes on sale November 22. With live music, live gameplay, and more, you and your friends can paint the town green." Again a list of the cities and dates for the Area One parties can be found on the Xbox.com website.

Microsoft also says that attendees of three upcoming gaming events in Europe will be able to check out Xbox One games ahead of the launch. The events are the Milan Games Week in Italy on Oct. 25 – 27, Paris Games Week in France on Oct. 30 – Nov. 3 and Madrid Games Week in Spain on Nov. 7 – 10.
