Microsoft's Arrow Launcher gets "biggest release yet" with version 3.0

Last week, Microsoft Garage released Arrow Launcher version 3.0 for Android to beta testers, promising that it's the company's "biggest release yet". Today, that update is available to everyone.

Aside from front-facing features, Microsoft is promising major performance improvements. According to the company, it's now 10% faster, uses 15% less battery, and 20% less memory. It also includes a number of bug fixes.

Users will now be able to choose between vertical and horizontal scrolling in the app drawer, which will be great for people that like to customize their Android device to how they like it (such as users that install custom Android launchers). Also, there's a new 'utility page', which allows you to add 'cards' as individual pages. As Microsoft says, you can "customize to your heart's content."

The specific version number of the build is 3.0.0.30855, and according to the Google Play Store, Arrow Launcher has been installed by between five and ten million users. It's been reviewed over 115,000 times for an average of 4.4 out of 5, and it has almost 75,000 five-star reviews.
