Microsoft's redesigned Mixer app comes out of beta, available for Android

After being in beta for two months, Microsoft has announced the official release of the Mixer app for mobile. It is now available for Android and will be coming to iOS in the coming days.

It was a couple months ago when Microsoft announced that its Mixer mobile app for iOS and Android would be getting a redesign. After being in beta since October, the firm has now revealed that it is available in its official form for Android and will be coming to iOS in the next few days.

With feedback from the community, Microsoft claims that they have built the best experience possible with the latest version of the app. The app has a new code base that allows for faster updates, and also was completely redesigned to offer a consistent experience across all devices. The new app will also bring improvements when it comes to discovering content through its new 'trending' tab, personalization options, and push notifications for when new content from your favorite streamer goes live. Furthermore, you'll now be able to tap on a thumbnail to gain a preview of the content before committing to it.

If all of this sounds like a lot, don't worry, Microsoft has also thought of that and has included a new video introduction that will walk you through what's new. Again, the new app is available for Android today from the Google Play Store and will be available for iOS in the coming days.
