Motorola is offering its flagship device, the Moto X, for $0.01, starting June 9th, 2014. The two-week trial period will allow potential owners to try the device and see if the phone is really for them.
The trial for a penny will begin June 9th and start at 12am EST. At 12am you will be able to register for a unique promo code. The promo codes will be limited and available until supplies last. If you are selected, Motorola will email you a code that will allow you to “purchase” the device for $0.01. You’ll have the full experience of designing and customizing your device using Motorola's Moto Maker.
After it is shipped to you, you will have a full 14 days to enjoy the handset. If you have still not shipped the phone back by the 15th day, Motorola will charge your credit card the full value of the phone under the assumption that you are keeping it. This promotion will only be available to people in the United States. The phone will be unlocked and SIM-free.
Motorola has recently launched the Moto G LTE and Moto E. The Moto X, Moto G LTE, and Moto E are available now, for $349, $219, and $129 USD respectively.
