OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition tipped to include 10GB of RAM, also coming to India

OnePlus recently teased the upcoming launch of the 6T McLaren Edition, happening next month. The teaser carries the tagline "Salute to Speed," suggesting that the limited edition device could pack a punch under the hood. Now, a new rumor sheds light on what the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition may have in store for consumers.

According to MySmartPrice, the special edition phone will supposedly include 10GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, making it OnePlus' first flagship device with such a massive memory. It will likely compete with the Black Shark Helo gaming smartphone announced last month with 10GB of RAM along with the 6GB and 8GB variants, and the recently unveiled nubia Red Magic Mars, which also has up to 10GB of RAM. It's not certain for now, though, whether the 6T's McLaren model will be officially classified as a gaming phone.

Also, if the rumor turns out to be true, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will add to a growing list of devices which will supposedly have a 10GB variant. In September, a 10GB version of the OPPO Find X was spotted on the Chinese certification agency TENAA. However, it remains unknown when that device will see the light of day.

The McLaren version of the 6T is set for launch on December 11 in London. Additionally, the special edition phone will also supposedly come to India a day after during a launch event in Mumbai at 6 pm IST. The pricing detail remains unknown, but it'll likely cost more than the regular OnePlus 6T models.
