Samsung giving away free wireless charger to get more Samsung Pay users

Samsung is offering a wireless charger to users who register their credit or debit card with Samsung Pay.

Back in August, Samsung launched its mobile payment service in the United States as an invite-only beta on select carriers to compete against Apple Pay. Now, the service is available on all major carriers in the country and it seems the company wants to increase its user base, as it has announced a new promotional offer for users who register with the service.

According to Samsung's promotional website, first 200,000 users who sign up with their debit or credit card on the Samsung Pay app will receive a free wireless charger. Users who have already signed up for a $50 rebate on a wireless charger through Verizon's promotional offer are not eligible for this one. Currently, Samsung Pay is available only on the Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+ and Note 5 smartphones.

The offer is valid only for those activations which take place between 28th October and 8th November, while the online claim can be made until the 15th of November.
