Many big names in tech have started recognizing the importance of intergenerational equity which has led to them bringing sustainability to the core of their structure, to some extent. Adopting sustainability as a holistic approach, Samsung has also been taking actions to reiterate its ongoing commitment towards being more environmentally friendly.

The latest step that the tech giant has taken in this regard is its collaboration with Sean Wotherspoon. In its preparation for Earth Day, Samsung will be launching limited-edition, sustainable Galaxy S21, and Galaxy Watch4 Series accessories developed in partnership with the plant-based designer.

Talking about sustainability and eco-conscious solutions, Wotherspoon stated:

From the start, it was clear that we were aligned on our commitment to sustainability and finding real eco-conscious solutions people can use in their everyday lives. It’s what drew me to this opportunity. The collection is a simple, yet powerful way for people to show their support of the planet timed to Earth Day.

Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) is 100 percent recyclable, and biodegradable, and is the material that has been used in the making of the watchbands and the Galaxy S21 phone cases.
