Something is currently wrong with Twitter [Update]

If you've been trying to access Twitter from your mobile or computer, you'll notice that the service is failing to load or post tweets. The service outage occurred within the past 30 minutes.

If you've been trying to access Twitter recently, you'll most likely have noticed that the service has been inaccessible due to an unscheduled outage that occurred roughly 30 minutes ago.

The official Twitter homepage offers a broken robot bear image with the message "Thanks for noticing—we're going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon." Trying to use the service via the app has yielded little result with tweets and timelines failing to pull up. The website Downdetector.com has confirmed the service outage, with multiple reports of service failure.

As of 8:00pm PST, the service is still down, but we will keep this post updated with relevant information.

Update: The app is now working, but the website is still having issues.

Update 2: The webpage is still having intermittent issues, but seems to be up for most.
