Steam summer sale kicks off with big discounts on GTA and XCOM

It's that time of the year when wallets need to be kept close and flash sales could happen at any minute. Yes, it's Steam's summer sale, which kicked off last night and runs until the 21st.
Ughh ..not that time again!

It’s that time of the year when Steam kicks off its beloved summer sale and users get to enjoy massive discounts, even on triple-A games.

The sale had a strong start with discounts up to 75% in Grand Theft Auto games, 80% for some Metro titles and up to 83% off for some titles in the XCOM series. Every day from the 11th until the 21st there will be daily sales on big titles, as well as important discounts for indie projects. There will also be flash sales more than once per day and these usually have some of the biggest discounts, even up to 99%.

Valve is also introducing a small sale-specific game of their own, one that allows users to garner more discounts and prizes for the days ahead. Steam’s summer sale is often viewed as the best time to buy games, especially older titles you might have missed. And with the recent introduction of refunds, there’s little that could go wrong. Good hunting!
