The final major sale of 2025 has hit Valve's Steam store. It's time to say hello to even larger backlogs, as PC gamers can now find almost the entirety of Steam on discount. with everything from AAA hits from this year to the most obscure indie games from decades ago receiving price cuts celebrating the holiday season.
As always though, Valve's servers are having some difficulty at the moment from the amount of people trying to look at the games on sale, so prices and web pages may fluctuate for some time before settling down.
Users will find a big change has hit the front page of Steam, with a huge number of highlighted games, genres, and charts showing up. These will be rotating each day to show off more titles from various developers around the world. Though keep in mind that the discounts themselves will not change throughout the Winter Sale.
The day-one front page is touting discounts for games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Ghost of Tsushima, Endless Legend 2, RimWorld, Cyberpunk 2077, Diablo IV, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Dispatch, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, among others.
The Deep Discounts section has made a return too, where you can find massive 90-95% off deals for games like LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Maneater, Overcooked, Nioh, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Planet Zoo, Detroit: Become Human, Slay the Spire, Fallout 76, Ace Combat 7, and more. All these games are less than $5 each right now.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the final round of the 2025 Steam Awards is back. It wants players to pick winners out of the previously chosen games with a final voting session. Find the voting portal here.
The 2025 Steam Winter Sale comes to an end on January 5, 2026, at 10am PT. Don't forget to check out the newly released 2025 Steam Replay to find out how you spent your year on the platform too.
