SteelSeries reveals new World of Warcraft PC mouse

Fans of Blizzard's hit fantasy MMO World of Warcraft will soon have a new way to interact with both the game and its other players. PC gaming peripheral maker SteelSeries has just announced plans to release the Legendary Edition of its World of Warcraft-branded MMO gaming mouse. While the company has released PC gaming mice designed to be used by MMO gamers in the past, this new product has been made to be more compact and less complex than those earlier versions.

The new Legendary Edition still has quite a bit of buttons compared to the normal PC mouse. Gamers can expect to access 11 buttons on the mouse, all fully programmable with SteelSeries's user interface. Gamers can program in over 130 preset game commands in the mouse and can also create their own custom macros. The Legendary Edition also lights up with four levels of illumination and can have the light's color change with 16.8 million color options. Inside the mouse, gamers can expect an optical sensor which can be adjusted in sensitivity to up to 3600 dpi. The product is currently scheduled to be released in late September for $79.99.

SteelSeries has had a solid relationship with Blizzard in the past and will continue to do so in the future. The company has already announced plans to release a variety of branded products for Blizzard's upcoming and long awaited action-RPG Diablo III. The products, which will include gaming PC mice, keyboards and headsets, should be released around the time Blizzard ships the game. Currently Diablo III doesn't have a release date.
