Virgin Media has announced that its Gig1 gigabit broadband package is now available to customers in London and Northern Ireland. Speeds offered with Gig1 are 17 times above the national average.

O2 has announced that it is going to begin rolling out its 5G network to cities around the UK this year. Initially it will launch in Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and London, before expanding in 2020.
The U.K. mobile operator, EE, has announced the first areas that will get 5G next year. The firm is also going to be bringing 5G broadband via the 5G Home router to showcase 5G's competence.
