Every now and then to the chagrin of its users, Google decides to throw switches which disable features or completely move them into multiple steps, now with reverse image search in Chrome.

Google is testing a new design for its image search page on desktop devices, bringing it in line with what it offers on mobile devices, as well as bearing a resemblance to Pinterest.
Google is adding badges to its image search results that signify the type of information that can be discovered if followed up upon. Unfortunately, the feature is only available on mobile, for now.
