Microsoft's African Fellowships are small-scale efforts towards its global empowerment and productivity goals - but as part of the Windows Insider Program, they aim to have a much wider impact.

At its NexTech Africa conference today, Microsoft said it understands the need to "listen and learn" to users in each market, and aims to support local entrepreneurs in bringing their ideas to life.
The new blog focuses on the Insider community, and along with new projects under its #Insiders4Good initiative, Microsoft promises more transparency and insights into Windows 10 development in 2017.
