The Steam version of Nier: Automata is finally slated to receive an official update, which may include the fixes and enhancements that the Microsoft Store PC version brought in last month.
Nier: Automata is being heavily review-bombed on Steam because the Xbox Game Pass version which launched on PC via the Microsoft Store does not contain the technical issues existent on Steam.
