In a report posted this week, Microsoft stated that a Chinese hacker group was able to get a Microsoft account (MSA) consumer key because a consumer signing system crash in April 2021 exposed the key.

In a security blog post, Microsoft said a group of Chinese hackers got access to an "inactive MSA consumer signing key" and used it to forge tokens to access Outlook email accounts.
Microsoft has rolled out January 2023's Security Updates (SUs) for support versions of Exchange Server. They include better security for PowerShell payloads, along with a known bug for OWA.

It seems Microsoft's email service is suffering from a partial outage as a number of users on Twitter are reporting that they are unable to access their mail using either the Outlook app or website.
Microsoft has announced that it is retiring its Outlook Web Apps on Android and iOS. The apps will stop working in May 2018, and users will be required to migrate to the standard Outlook app.
