The coveted Mi MIX will be made available for purchase outside of Asia

Alongside offering the Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4A, Xiaomi has recently launched the Mi MIX in the UAE. The firm has stated that it plans to expand the device to other regions in the future.

The Mi MIX was one of those rare handsets that managed to catch everyone by surprise. There weren't any leaks prior to its announcement and it offered top-notch specifications with design and technology that exceeded expectations. We had the pleasure of handling the white variant of the unit at CES and while we have yet to see it being sold outside of China through official channels, it appears that Xiaomi could be planning to make such a move in the future.

While Xiaomi didn't exactly say when the Mi MIX would be making its global debut, it did recently launch the handset through various retailers alongside its recently announced Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4A in the UAE. When questioned about whether this would mean that the Mi MIX sales would be expanding to other parts of the world, Xiaomi did state it would be "making its way to other markets".

Although this is good news, it is only a silver lining considering that there are no concrete details on when and where the handset will land next.
