The Evil Within 2 makes its debut in haunting trailer

At its slightly low-key E3 press event, Bethesda Softworks officially confirmed The Evil Within 2. It sees players taking command of Detective Sebastian once again, in his quest to save his daughter.

Yesterday, a premature ad listing on Reddit indicated that Bethesda Softworks is working on a sequel to The Evil Within. Today, at its E3 showcase, the company has confirmed the existence of the title, and announced The Evil Within 2.

As can be seen from the haunting and surreal trailer, players will once again be taking command of Detective Sebastian - the protagonist from the first game - as he tries to save his daughter, while facing horrifying creatures in scary environments.

You are Detective Sebastian Castellanos and at your lowest point. But when given a chance to save your daughter, you must enter a world filled with nightmares and discover the dark origins of a once-idyllic town to bring her back. The Evil Within 2 will be making its way to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Friday the 13th, October 2017.
