The US President Donald Trump is using his personal brand to expand into new business areas, including crypto and smartphones. It’s been almost a year since The Trump Organization announced the launch of an American-made smartphone under the Trump brand, and the phone is finally beginning to ship this week.

According to USA TODAY, Trump Mobile has confirmed that shipments of the T1 phone will begin this week after being delayed multiple times over the past year. The phone was originally scheduled to launch in August, but the release was later pushed back to October.

Now, Trump Mobile CEO Pat O'Brien says the company will start sending pre-ordered devices to customers this week. “But those delays were worth it in our minds as we are delivering an amazing product,” O'Brien added. He also said that all pre-ordered devices will be delivered to customers over the coming weeks.

He didn’t say the exact number of pre-orders for T1 phones, but added that the company is “incredibly pleased with the interest in both the Trump Mobile service and the T1 phones.”

Pat O'Brien says the first Trump Mobile T1 phones were assembled in the United States, and these devices are “designed with American values in mind.” It remains unclear which specific “American values” are reflected in the design, but O'Brien said the company plans to use more components manufactured primarily in the U.S. for future production of T1 phones.

According to information on the Trump Mobile website, the T1 phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 5,000mAh battery, a fingerprint sensor, AI Face Unlock, and a Snapdragon chipset. On the rear, it includes a 50MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 50MP (2x telephoto) camera, while the front camera uses a 50MP sensor. The phone also runs on Android 15.

The promotional price for the Trump T1 phone is $499, and new customers must join a waitlist and pay a $100 refundable deposit.
