Vine for Windows Phone updated to fix sign-in woes

The official Vine app for Windows Phone 8 has been updated to resolve sign-in problems for users who were unable to access the app because of passwords that contain certain characters.

Vine's official Windows Phone 8 app was just released Tuesday, but it's already receiving an update to resolve sign-in problems involving complex passwords.

Prior to Wednesday night's update, users who had passwords using certain characters were unable to sign into their respective accounts through Twitter. Users began tweeting to the official @vinehelp Twitter account noting the error, with support personnel responding that a fix was in the works.

That fix is now live, and users can download the update from the Windows Phone Store if they're not automatically prompted to do so. Some users have reported the update not automatically working, but uninstalling and re-installing the app appears to resolve the issue.
