The Xbox Series X|S startup sequence that launched with the console duo in 2020 is soon being replaced. The new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma revealed today that by this time next week (May 13), Xbox owners booting up their console will see a brand-new animation and sound greeting them, revealing a new, greener Xbox logo.
The changed sequence was shown off on social media by Sharma with a short video, check it out below:

For those that want to see what the current startup looks like on Xbox Series X|S consoles, catch it here. While both share similar sort of audio, it's the visuals that have gone through a complete change. Gone are the Xbox text and the subtle greenish light that ends up with the white and flat Xbox logo. Now, the new logo that was introduced under Sharma back in April is front and center, bringing back some of the brand's iconic green that has been lost over the years.
While this latest shift seems small, there has been a flurry of changes inside Xbox since Asha Sharma's appointment as the new gaming CEO of Microsoft in February of this year.
"Xbox needs to move faster, deepen our connection with the community, and address friction for both players and developers," said Sharma recently on social media.
Following talks of Xbox Game Pass pricing being too high for customers, she announced major price cuts to Ultimate and PC Game Pass variants last month. A change to Xbox branding and fresh guidelines for its developers have also been revealed recently. Yesterday, Sharma announced more leadership changes at Xbox and a move away from Microsoft's Copilot AI for gaming.
