Xiaomi Redmi 9 is now available to purchase in the UK for £149

After introducing its latest entry-level smartphone last month, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 9 in the UK, where it is now available to purchase for £149, down from its original price of £159.

Xiaomi's entry-level smartphone, the Redmi 9, can now be purchased in the UK for £149. The price reflects a discount of £10 (£159 was the original price) as part of the company's 10th anniversary, and purchasing the phone right now gets you a free Mi Smart Band 4.

It is important to note that this deal will expire on August 16, after which the price will revert to its original figure. The device was announced in July with two memory configurations: one with a 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and another with a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The latter is what's available in the UK.

The Redmi 9 has a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display with a waterdrop notch that houses the 8MP front camera. On its back, there's a quad-camera setup with a 13MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. Below the camera module is the fingerprint sensor. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC.

At such a cheap price, the handset packs a 5,020mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. It also features Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, NFC support, and 3.5mm headphone jack. The device can be had in grey, purple or green color options via Xiaomi UK's online store.
