While there are still three more weeks to go before Samsung officially takes the wraps off the Galaxy S8 and S8+, one retailer in the UK is already allowing prospective customers to register their interest in preordering the S8, possibly with a discount.
The Carphone Warehouse website notes that:
"Last year our customers saved on average £111 on the Samsung Galaxy S7 series at launch. Pre-register to get the best deal on the new Samsung Galaxy."
This possibly indicates that the same type of savings or special discount when following through with an order may be offered this year. Right now, the page doesn't let you select either an S8 or S8+, it appears to be generic for the new flagship, possibly requiring that step once a payment is required.
As a reminder, the 5.8-inch Galaxy S8 and 6.2-inch Galaxy S8+ will feature the same internals, which include the expansive QHD+ Super AMOLED display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, and the Bixby digital assistant triggered by a dedicated hardware button. Samsung will be holding its 'Unpacked' event on March 29, with the actual launch following a month later.
