You can now ask Samsung's Bixby to play Netflix movies and series

When Samsung introduced its Galaxy S20 series in February, it also announced a partnership with Netflix to let users discover content on the movie streaming platform through its integration with Samsung devices. As part of that teamup, Netflix has recently added support for Bixby Voice to allow consumers to play movies and series by giving voice commands to the digital assistant (via Android Police).

That capability has been integrated into Netflix's app for Android as part of an update. With the new feature, users can also ask Bixby to find specific titles in addition to playing them. It is not clear, though, in what regions or countries this capability is available. Android Police noted that it went live only a few days ago, so it should be hitting your territory shortly if it's not yet available.

Notably, the feature's rollout took nearly two months to start up following its announcement, though it's still a welcome development for Bixby fans. However, it's not an entirely new capability for Netflix, as the same support for Google Assistant and Cortana on Windows 10 has been in place for quite some time now.
