[Official] Apple WWDC 2011 Keynote

Haha, this is going to be a disaster and help pirates gain legal copies which in turn makes the pirated version legal as a personal backup of the iTunes Match'd version. How is iTunes going to know the difference between a purchased CD and the FLAC+CUE burned CD-R in this case?

I'd be more impressed if they'd offer Apple Lossless from the iTunes Store instead of the AAC 256kbps crap.

a disaster because it makes pirated copies legal copies? there is an annual fee you know and they have deals with all the major record labels, what you think is a disaster is the whole idea!

no phone announcement, and apples stock is already down 4 and a quarter....

just like always investors get all giddy about apple before the conference and leave disapointed

todays high of 347 was right before the conference and todays low is right after....

Be curious to see if Spotify change their pricing now as well

Why would it need to?

From what I can see, iCloud doesn't enable streaming.

While it may not matter to some people, the idea about streaming (aka not having to store music on your device) is a huge benefit spotify has. Especially when we have low capacity models of Apple Products (16GB seems like nothing on my iphone lol).

Now the music labels and Apple get to make $25 a year from hosting your pirated music whereas before, they got nothing.

$25 a year for let's say 5,000 pirated albums made 'legal' is a bit cheap, isn't it?

Likely works the same way as the other iTunes services; works only for music that is purchased from iTunes Store.

yeah but the jobs said that it'll match the music your "ripped" yourself and give you the itunes version. how does it know where/how i got the music?

How does it make it "legal"? All it does is let you enjoy the benefits of iCloud with your pirated music. It doesn't suddenly make it legal if the FBI busts down your door or if you get sued by the RIAA.

They will more then likely announce that at the iphone/iOS convention, not WWDC.

Unless thats where they normally do it. Not to familiar of the diffrence between them all and just think of them as " Apple Shows "

    • How does it compare to the "SeeStar S30 Pro" and the "Vespera PRO 2"?
    • Indeed. And note that those units are MUCH cheaper than this new Steam Machine...ahem.
    • Microsoft have found a way to convert RAM and SSDs into water.
