I'm sensing you are trying to tell us something here, I can't quite place my finger on it though :)

Hahaha, hell yeah.. brother.

Anyway, this vid would be just another day in Saudi Arabia/Pakistan/Afghanistan and other stan. The dad is protecting the girl from the evil online.

There are way too many people like hom - in every social and education class. It's likd rape - all about control and dominance. Doesn't matter if the kid was misbehaving, this wasn't right.

The way it was shown in the vid..i agree. But spanking for doing something wrong is not a thing to condone.

Watched the video and needless to say it was pretty hard to stomach. It really makes you think how someone can go into a blind rage on their own kid over something stupid as the internet and stealing some songs. There were hundreds of alternative punishments that would have gotten the point across instead of beating the kid.

This thread is what's wrong with society today. Physical punishment is seen as just the most horrific crime.

The girl disobeyed her father's order, he tried to issue a punishment (people have been getting spanked with belts for ages so he's not the first), the girl refused to accept the punishment.

I feel sorry for the family that their private life was displayed to world.

Dude, This is beyond any acceptable "punishment".

As I said ; you're crazy. You somehow think that being a parent allows you to ignore the law when it's about your kids/wife/husband, just because you call it "correction".

Well, let me tell you : it doesn't. If you beat someone with a belt, it's a crime. Period. (unless it's self-defense, of course, and in this case it clearly isn't)

@kvaughan: People had been using slaves for thousands of years, so why did we stop that? *facepalm*

You were raised how you were raised, i was raised how i was raised, get over it.

For a looong time, people were beat with switches, and all kinda of crap, guess what, crime was lower then. People are on a dont correct kids, hey, crime is alot higher. People can no longer leave their cars unlocked, or doors unlocked when away or even when they are at home.

But whatever.

I agree with everyone that this is atrocious and the law must be restored.

But I want to bring something new to the discussion. Please, read my post to the end carefully and with a clear mind.

Where is the legal system?

Looks like the cops and judges are busy sucking up MAFIAA and stealing domains claiming they saw some photo of 17 years old's ###### (these cases are reality). Or maybe they are busy jailing mothers for snapping a photo of their adorable 2-years olds playing with the bubbles in the bath (these cases are reality)? Or maybe they are putting a 16y.o. girl to jail for "distributing child pornography" after her teacher found her own half-nude photos on her cell phone (these cases are reality again)?

THIS VIDEO is what the real child abuse looks like. Not the Chris Hansen ****.

Most of the child abuse and rape happens in the child's own house. Parents, relatives, parent's friends are the most common child abusers/rapists. Shocking, no?

And what does everyone (police, lawmakers, politicians, parents and you guys) said about the child abuse in various dicscussions? Let me remind you: "you need to censor Internet to make children safe"(World), "you need to jail any 17y.o. filming themself nude to make children safe"(USA), "you need to ban erotic images of women with A-sized breast to make children safe"(Australia), "Hey, they just jailed a man with some Simpsons porn comic; Now our children are definittely safe!"(USA/Canada)

Hypocrites! Your ignorant actions have already hurt lots of children. Instead of admitting the real problem of child abuse, you succumb to the empty pledges of politicians to "make children safe" by wiretapping, censoring, tightening the laws and shattering privacy. It's so easy to just hand all your human and civil rights to police, politicians and corporations for a wague promise of protecting your children. Easy, but foolish and dangerous for everyone.

By unwillingness to admit and tackle the real problem of real child abuse of the real children, you're letting this abuse happen. In reality!

Ban me for this post, but if even a single person here wakes up and helps a real child, my words were not for nothing.

I found common sense on teh interwebz, where is my pot of gold?! :o

While I was spanked with a belt, it was a short thing, and didn't come in verbal insults. I was made aware why it was happening, and not to do it again. I wasn't cussed at, or told I would be hit in the face. All belt attacks were on the bottom only. This guy went too far. He was threatening her with more serious attacks, as well as hitting her arms, hands, and legs. It also lasted for quite a while.

Agreed, i was spanked when i was younger also, but it like you was never to extent of what the judge did.

He did go to far

I wouldn't say that I agree that physical punishment is the most horrific crime, I was actually punished in a similar manner when I was a child. The difference was that I wasn't 16, had Cerebral Palsy, and actually did things that deserved getting a spanking over. My parents also wasn't as threatening or used profanity while they disciplined me.

This video is a little over the top. I really think it's out of place for a man to spank a 16 year old girl, she's almost an adult, if a spanking is REALLY necessarily let her mother do it, but I'm sure there are better ways to punish someone that is almost an adult.

The judge obviously has major control issues. He just goes into a rage. It's quite disturbing to watch.

a medical condition leads to a passion for technology? someone want to fill me in on what this condition is?

Although not a medical condition officially, on some websites it's called something like e-penis syndrome...

I'm astonished that there are actually still common sense with these kind of topics!

Kudos for both posts!

And how does a rapeist that impregnated his daughter and kept her in basement have any bearing what so ever to anything i said, wtf are you that unable to stinkin read. Or do you just pick a word and random and to you thats all you need. Mainly because you think i agree with what he did even though multiple times i said i didnt agree to the extent he went, but SOMEHOW you think i agree with even more extreme actions

Unless you think rape incest are a form of parental correction?

Like Fritzl you seem to think that a child is a parent's property to do what they want with. The "correction" that you refer to is a form of abuse.

Agree, but there's a big difference between gently swatting a stubborn kid on the buns as an attention getter with an open hand and beating the s*** out of them with a belt.

I didn't have to swat our kids after the age of 3-4 because by then they knew Dad meant business. Hell, all it took with Sabrina was knowing her Daddy was upset with her and the floodgates opened :p

I got a flyswatter to the back as a child. The video of this is... Pretty disgusting, I mean there are always "two sides" to every story...

But... Um... Yeah, he went overboard. If I saw two parents doing this to their child I would call the cops.

This is abusive, plain and simple. Sadly, it happens all over, every day.

And people turn a blind eye to it.

There is a fine line between a slap on the behind, and making your child quite literally fear for their life.

At no point should your child fear their life could be taken away by the very people who gave it to them, if you create life you should never make it feel like you can take it away. Once a life is born it is that persons life, and no one else. This is disgusting.

So did I - a weeping willow. My old man could nail me around corners with one of those, but that was rare and only when I was being a total PITA. What hurt more than the switch was seeing him in tears because he'd had to resort to it.

He meant it won't stop anyone else from doing it.

And forbidding him from any contact with his daughter would have the same effect.

It was obvious what he meant, I was jk. I don't think killing him is really justice.

I think you need to actually read what i have posted instead of just random words from diffrent posts.

lol anyone else see the irony?

    • I agree, especially if it is cloud sourced, like this one is.. but I wouldn't say no to a local AI assistant similar to the Zettlab one which would be really helpful with my large Photos library, but also to perform tasks like installing Docker apps rather than me having to do it via Docker Compose, but I don't think we're quite there yet. Synology Photos is somewhat AI, you can ask it to search for certain people (if you have tagged them and it will attempt to match similar photos to the person) and if you put a search term in for "cars" for example, it will show you all photos with a car.
    • I doubt that Google will keep the same price... it may go up from that list published.
