Grosjean had an alternator failure which cut out all the electrics, Vettels engine just stopped, not the same failure.

dr. marko just confirmed both had the same failure...

Good second half of the race after the safety car. I know it goes against the grain but I think Hamilton should have just let him past, bright the car home with some points. The pass was always going to happen, just a matter of time. Howevere I do get hamilton is a racer but I think he'll regret that move.

Well done shumie, good too see him back up on the podium.

schumacher had 6 years between his last podium (china 2006) and today.... the only guy had to wait longer was alex wurz (silverstone 1997) and imola 2005....

Because that's the rules. They didn't change over night just to accomodate Alonso as some in here might think.

but you wont deny that alonso had luck from lap 1 till the very last lap today will you? i can count at least FOUR people who would have won this race either if they had as trouble free race as lucklonso.

End of quali is slightly different as you sort of have an unfair advantage as you get to carry less fuel. While a race is harder to predict.

But bearing in mind that Alonso had tonnes of time in hand, is hard to argue he had any advantage from having less fuel, as long as he have enough fuel for the FIA he should be fine. FIA would be stupid to overturn it really, it is just technicality.

Luck isn't something quantifiable. Do you have any objective complaints?

- hamiltons failed pitstop brought alonso in front of hamilton

- grosjean sleeping at the restart

- grosjeans car failure

- vettels car failure

- the unneccesary safetycar costing vettel a 20+ seconds lead

do you need more?

You're acting like Alonso is the only one who benefitted from that.

as all those cars i mentioned were LEADING alonso before they got robbed of the win by external influences, i very much have the right to make my claims.

ITT people who ignore the fact that someone who's leading the race being thrown out benefits everyone behind them.

It's not Alonso's fault that he made the best of it. Webber went from 19 to 4.

IMO it wasn't a very deserved win, the Ferrari had been off pace all weekend, if it weren't for Vettel, Grosjean and Hamilton I don't think Alonso would have even been on the podium.

oh halleluja you are a real genious arent you?

was i speaking about webber? nope.... fact remains vettel (very much), then grosjean, even hamilton and raikkonen would have deserved the win more than lucklonso today. its not like they were driving and alonso past them by his own effort and they finished p2, p3 or p4, its more like they were leading and then vettels car stopped, hamiltons team failed him in the pits, grosjeans car stopped......

i give up, it leads to nothing. good thing next race lucklonso is overdue for a dnf thats a given!

I really don't think is "luck" for Grosjean sleeping. You are skilled in taking advantage of a sleeping rookie. There was nothing to suggest Alonso couldn't had bettered him eventually. You are assuming Alonso can;t force a mistake. You are suggesting a lot of things.

Vettel clearly is the deserved winner, no doubt. He was on another level, but that is just motor racing.

I say is a reasonable safety car, there were a lot of debris on the track. Vettel, if he didn't had a broken car would had just romped away anyway. Also, if you looked at quali, look at how much Schumacher and Alonso was off by pole, like 3 tenths or something. They are very closely matched in raw pace. I wouldn't call it off the pace. Massa was also very competitive until he got ran into and had his issues. Alonso, Schumacher and Webber had benefited from things going wrong. But everyone eventually have things going wrong for them and you get some. Is stupid and bitter to blame it on luck.

As long as there's enough fuel in the car to get a sample a rule hasn't been broken. As for Maldonado, clearly at fault here for me. He went right off the track and simply drove into the side of Lewis, but I'm sure lewis will also probably just wish he'd let him go now.

Delivered up some amazing drama though, great race.

Also, BBC just interviewing Christian Horner and apparently it was exactly the same failure on the cars of Vettel and Grosjean so it seems more likely a renault error than a RBR / Lotus error

    • Most boring game ever. Repetitive, empty, predictable, and full of cliches. Total waste of time and money, IMO.
    • Mafia: The Old Country expansion Man of Honor announced, brings back Salieri from original by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe During Summer Game Fest, 2K and Hanger 13 brought out a new Mafia: The Old Country trailer, revealing the game's first expansion. Named Man of Honor, this is slated to add two new chapters to the Enzo storyline that the game follows. There is an iconic character returning to the series with this expansion, with players set to run into Ennio Salieri, the future Don of the Salieri crime family. Fans of the original Mafia, or its Definitive Edition remake, may remember that name as one of the biggest characters in the storyline. This expansion is set prior to his rise to being the kingpin in the City of Lost Heaven. "Set in Sicily during the winter of 1905, Enzo Favara has proven himself a reliable soldier of the Torrisi crime family in the months since his initiation," says the studio about the new chapters. "Now, the Don entrusts him and Cesare with a delicate assignment of assisting Ennio Salieri, a man of honor recently released from prison and intent on reclaiming what is his." Working at Salieri's side, players will be heading into fresh environments as they return to the role of Enzo as a high-ranking soldato. The studio also promises brand-new weapons, fresh vehicles, and charms to collect in this expansion. Moreover, the expansion will add new content to the updated Free Ride mode. Alongside new collectibles and locations, this will add more challenges to beat alongside Salieri, which are described as runs that will "test the skills of even the most elite mafiosi." The Mafia: The Old Country Man of Honor story expansion will release on August 14, 2026, across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It will cost $10 for owners of the base game to jump into.

    • Telltale returns with The Wolf Among Us, re-revealing the sequel and a new remaster by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Telltale Games, the studio known for its episodic games from the 2000s, had a surprise appearance at the Summer Game Fest showcase today. The studio has gone through a collapse, an acquisition, and a revival but has largely gone silent in recent years. Today's sudden announcement was for the popular The Wolf Among Us series, with news about the sequel and a remaster dropping. Set after the events of the 2013-released title, the sequel will bring back Biby Wolf for a new adventure in Fabletown. This town of fairy tale characters is becoming unstable, with Snow White not being able to keep order as before. "When a brutal series of crimes threatens to fracture the fragile balance holding Fabletown together, Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, finds himself drawn into a dangerous conspiracy that reaches deep into the city’s criminal underworld," says the studio. "As suspicion spreads across the city and powerful forces work against him, Bigby must uncover the truth and decide what kind of sheriff - and what kind of wolf - he is willing to become." At the same time, Telltale also announced The Wolf Among Us Remastered, bringing back the classic with a fresh coat of paint. This will include all five episodes from the original game plus over an hour of extra content that will offer behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes. The remaster will also have updated visuals and improved UI elements and accessibility features, alongside upgrades to the animations, audio, and frame rates. Telltale has been working on this project for almost a decade now, but if the new release schedule holds, fans will be able to jump into The Wolf Among Us 2 sometime in 2027. As for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, this is slated to release during this holiday season.
