Um... you sure that's how you want to define yourself?

...Yikes. :ermm:

You clearly want to make the term derogatory. To Merriam Webster a Redneck is a working close southern man. You can be educated and not be a racist and still be a redneck. Being a redneck is more of a way of life then it is a derogatory term and those that use it as a derogatory term are usually those that think they are better than everyone else.

Yet you support their invasion for a failed attempt at implanting democracy. Sounds like a contradiction.

What invasion? I never said I supported Iraq.

Yeah, we should have just let Japan carry out it's own imperialistic agenda toward China. You do realize why we (Allies) had embargoes against Japan...right?

Exactly, Japan was told to cut it out or there would be sanctions, Japan refused to listen and in fact felt that even if sanctions were imposed, they would by then, have all the resources they needed from China.

They were wrong, then in an effort to prevent what they thought the next step would be (Military action) they decided to cripple the US ability in the Pacific to project power with the attack on Pearl. This was also to buy them time to take other key areas in the Pacific, and secure other oil resources in the south china sea without further interference.

So yea, to blame Pearl on the US/British sanctions is assnine and ill-informed at best.

Hardly, I just went to dictionary.com. Doesn't change the fact that the term obviously has bad correlations tied with it, considering you have to find the right dictionary to find the definition you want. Considering most people consider rednecks to be "uneducated", hence how that definition exists to begin with, says a lot. Not all rednecks are uneducated maybe, but the first thing that pops into someone's head when they hear the term "redneck" is not a well informed, well educated individual. That's just being honest here...

Also, from the Merriam-Webster Learner's Dictionary for people that are learning English (linked right from your source), this is what is listed:

[count] US, informal + usually disapproving: a white person who lives in a small town or in the country especially in the southern U.S., who typically has a working-class job, and who is seen by others as being uneducated and having opinions and attitudes that are offensive

If you see it differently, then by all means. Just saying that many people won't see it the same way, much in the same way a "gay man" won't be instantly thought of as one who is merely "happy". :p

As an outsider Ive just got to say WOW that someone even let him stay in office after such a outlandish comment

There's a lot of fear mongering these days. I'm not sure when it was that people started getting so scared of every little thing, to the point of realistically considering conspiracies to be truthful possibilities. Bottom line here is that this is all just a bunch of nonsense all because some people don't like Obama.

There's a radio station in Houston that I used to love due to the banter and comedy in the mornings, but ever since Obama came into office, they've been on a "No-bama" (as they call it) ride the whole time. I get exhausted just listening to them talk about him... We got people here who are legitimately upset with Obama, but honestly have no real solutions to who'd be a better fit in office. Personally, I don't see any change with what Romney offers, and I'd rather stick with Obama another 4 years than try to figure out what he's planning for us.

Oh well to rednecks that's not how they look at themselves that way and usually the people that use it in derogatory ways are the ones that don't know any rednecks and use stereo typical terms to describe them.

    • Fire and rehire. Doubt the work contracts are as favourable. Smart tactic using AI to do it legally.
    • > And, of course, it includes in-game purchases. Sigh.. of course it does. I just don't understand why anyone would want to play this on PC, when the far superior AoE 2/DE exists. Just kill this with fire already. Or a trebuchet.
    • Normally you'd just want to use Ventoy, but Rufus is handy when: - Ventoy doesn't work (some BIOSes can be weird) - You're mainly interested in creating a single Windows live USB and not interested in a multi-boot / Linux USBs - You want to automate your Windows installations (Rufus supports creating/injecting an autounattend.xml file which fully automates a Windows install). You can do this with Ventoy as well, but it requires a bit more of an effort. Also worth nothing is that both automatically bypass Windows 11's artificially imposed restrictions (TPM, CPU etc).
