Oh I have a question, How do you open up this window to view the install date instead of using Command Prompt.

Oh I have an answer, check the first post ;)

Good god this has to be the longest I have had the same Windows Install for. Usually I had to re-install every 6 months o.o.

Windows 7 is so stable the only reason I reinstalled was because my primary drive failed. And that was the same time the Consumer preview came out so I jumped on the 8 train. But the notion of having to reinstall Windows yearly went out the door with Windows 7.

put Windows 8 on the day it was available from Technet. gonna see how long I can go wtihout a reinstall.

You never need to reinstall Windows 8 it is a superior OS with built in functions to factory reset it, or restore system files without effecting any of your programs, its simply the best OS ever created!

I installed once when I built the system about a year ago.. haven't reinstalled yet.. no plans too.

Fileserver is going on 2 years.

Laptop went on 3 years, but was wiped to put Win8 Beta's on it.. which in retrospect was a real waste lol

Pretty much 12-13 months ago, when my new iMac became my new main system, hence moving over Windows for gaming and some applications. :)

Windows 7 Ultimate: 07/03/2010 2:19:29PM PST

Windows Server 2008: 14/04/2010 03:56:07PM PST

No plans to install Windows 8

EDIT: Or upgrade the server, 2008 suits my needs, can't justify purchasing a new license for 2012.

When I first brought this HP laptop, I was surprised to see HP had included an "Clean" install of Windows within the recovery menu. including only the drivers and essential software for trackpad, keyboard controls, and HP support adviser. None of those Norton360 trials, eBay shortcuts, nothing! Really good to see that.

    • Brave Browser 1.91.178 by Razvan Serea Brave Browser is a lightning-fast, secure web browser that stands out from the competition with its focus on privacy, security, and speed. With features like HTTPS Everywhere and built-in tracker blocking, Brave keeps your online activities safe from prying eyes. Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. And it does all this by default. Speed - Brave is built on Chromium, the same technology that powers Google Chrome, and is optimized for speed, providing a fast and responsive browsing experience. Brave Browser also features Brave Rewards, a system that rewards users with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing opt-in ads. This innovative system provides an alternative revenue model for content creators and a way to support the Brave community. SlimBrave Neo takes all the good things about Brave and makes them even better by keeping everything clean, light, and privacy-focused. It removes the extra clutter, turns off features you might not need, and cuts down on anything that could slow you down or collect unnecessary data. Because it relies on simple settings and policies instead of modifying the browser itself, you still get full Brave compatibility—just in a smoother, lighter, and more privacy-friendly package. Brave Browser 1.91.178 changelog: Fixed certain extensions not working as expected. (#56271) Fixed inability to use Brave Sync in certain cases. (#55203) Upgraded Chromium to 149.0.7827.196.
