For all the people telling you how safe it is to download from bit torrent, they're wrong.

lol, who ever said it was safe to download from bittorrent? I'd assume that's one of the least safe places to download from.

The scary part is What if I had a legal copy that I had ripped and had it in the same folder . I would still lose my Cable for 24 hours(first time) and have remove it from any folder that might be shared with bit.

get your facts strait

you don't "share" folders with bittorrent.

when you load .torrent into bittorrent client, the only file visiable to the world is files in that .torrent, nothing else that might be in that folder.

Is it just me, or does that sound like the exact amount of information a hacker would need to get access to that file using an IE browser exploit??

And we're just trying to make you see that someone is f*cking with you. Check with your cable company (actually call them, not through some fake-ass web form).

Look, I called Cableone this morning and they verified that the account would be down for 24 hours. They recieved the form and said just be patient and by 12 o'clock tonight it will be on. It wasn't a joke it wasn't a hacker.
