Boston Bombing Suspects - MIT Shooting - Manhunt

so I guess we're going to find out what these little Chechen rebels want... or maybe this is a little prank they place in Chechnya for ****s and giggles.

The more time goes the more it looks like a case of We need to talk about Kevin to me.

Reportedly a 'skinhead.' Either unrelated or someone's been playing with hair clippers overnight.

I'm surprised the suspects didn't apparently do much to alter their appearance.. then again, I guess people on a suicide / rampage / bombing mission probably don't think things through logically..

I posted that before the BOLO was even put out over the BPD dispatch channels, cause I heard it live a few minutes later. And I did hear the cancel of the BOLO after that. So I know it wasn't half an hour ago.

CBS just tweeted this: JUST IN: Bob Orr reports CT State Police put out a bulletin that the suspect may be in a vehicle, a gray Honda CRV, Mass. plates: 316ES9

DO try and keep up with the thread. :p

So how exactly did this all happen so quickly?

Two suspects attempted to or did rob a 7-11 and then stole a car and ended up at MIT and shot an officer and then got into a gun fight with police in Watertown. This started at like 10-11pm lastnight. The older brother was killed after being brought to hospital and now FBI and police are looking for younger brother through watertown.

It's a vague explanation but it's what I've been following.

I am keeping up with the thread. I understand that the BOLO was canceled, but CBS seems to think that something else going on because they continue to tweet about the car. That was my point, read the timestamp on the tweet.

Someone please explain "bolo".

Edit: Scanner said someone dropped a hockey duffle bag somewhere and took off running.

which scanner are you listening too, what i see is all down/offline

again, it doesn't look like any national guard I've seen. They have always worn their GREEN uniform anytime and every time I have seen them..

and I saw them through the hurricanes, blizzards and other actions..

Education my butt, i'll still stand by the fact I wouldn't be happy seeing military units and if it is national guard, we should have a way to know easily without having to question what we're seeing captured on video.

These are visibly cops, FBI and national guard.

National guard in greens, cops in blue and FBI with big FBI, but it is odd seeing FBI in the desert cammo

Those hummers where White, which doesn't even fit into the military... That looks a lot like our local SWAT response team tactical units... they do have white and also black hummers that are decked out in armor... I didn't see any "military" in any of the video yet... just Police, FBI, State police, and bomb teams

It is being reported on CNN that they entered the U.S. with the Kyrgyzstani passports.

also being reported they are legal US long term residents, not someone who just came to do this... parents are apparently still back in Russia though?

Yup. WBUR just mentioned that someone interviewed their father who lives in Russia. He described the younger brother as an angel!

    • I agree, especially if it is cloud sourced, like this one is.. but I wouldn't say no to a local AI assistant similar to the Zettlab one which would be really helpful with my large Photos library, but also to perform tasks like installing Docker apps rather than me having to do it via Docker Compose, but I don't think we're quite there yet. Synology Photos is somewhat AI, you can ask it to search for certain people (if you have tagged them and it will attempt to match similar photos to the person) and if you put a search term in for "cars" for example, it will show you all photos with a car.
    • I doubt that Google will keep the same price... it may go up from that list published.

    • So the card is targeted at headphone users - so the review should be from someone that uses this - maybe I can review a card next time.
