It will be just one world using what the majority votes for. As a compromise we could provide some resources at spawn.

I think getting started resources should be at spawn. Maybe stone picks, food, etc. Just to get people started.

Things like farms should be built when the user has enough resources to do so or built as a group.

Exactly what I had in mind. In addition there can be some basic housing at spawn - similar to what we have now - and perhaps a few safe houses randomly added across the map.

I wonder when 1.7 wil be ready. The snapshots show some world generation bugs such as land floating in mid air and seas with just one block of water and then air under it.

They have added new biomes and they have also changed the world generation code so starting from scratch is a definitive YES.

I always start from scratch every time they make changes to the world generator. You'll get strange borders between old and new chunks as well as the problem where you have to walk VERY LONG to reach some of the new content such as the new flowers and podzol that will be added to 1.7.

I just dig myself a hole into a hill and block myself in lol

The poll result is a clear vote for a survival-only server. So be it.

Once 1.7 is out we'll set up a spawn area (I'm thinking 200x200 blocks will do), then re-whitelist people. Any further details will be discussed in time - e.g. large biomes or not, which biome to use for spawn, what to provide as starting kit.

    • Brave Browser 1.91.168 by Razvan Serea Brave Browser is a lightning-fast, secure web browser that stands out from the competition with its focus on privacy, security, and speed. With features like HTTPS Everywhere and built-in tracker blocking, Brave keeps your online activities safe from prying eyes. Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. And it does all this by default. Speed - Brave is built on Chromium, the same technology that powers Google Chrome, and is optimized for speed, providing a fast and responsive browsing experience. Brave Browser also features Brave Rewards, a system that rewards users with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing opt-in ads. This innovative system provides an alternative revenue model for content creators and a way to support the Brave community. SlimBrave Neo takes all the good things about Brave and makes them even better by keeping everything clean, light, and privacy-focused. It removes the extra clutter, turns off features you might not need, and cuts down on anything that could slow you down or collect unnecessary data. Because it relies on simple settings and policies instead of modifying the browser itself, you still get full Brave compatibility—just in a smoother, lighter, and more privacy-friendly package. • Thanks Microsoft but no, I find both iterations of Outlook terrible nowadays and switched back to Thunderbird at home.
    • Happens to the best of us, bro. 😛
    • Thanks to some of the other recent Windows improvements, I'm optimistic about this one. My quick wishlist would be: perf like the older menu, merge both menus or at the very least, the older menu should be a flyout, not a simulated click to the old menu, and lastly, a customization window to let users move items from one menu to another, so I could bring Send To back to the main menu, and the OneDrive settings to the older.
