We're done. There isn't much left to trade (to others).

Well, I wouldn't be so sure... Just because a player is popular doesn't mean they won't be traded. If the right deal comes along anything's possible. Plus there are always draft picks and prospects.

IMO, TO got screwed over in the trade for leech... what did u get?? a washed up D-man and a unconditional pick for what? 2 good prospects and a 1st rounder next year and a 2nd rounder the year after??

way too much to give up for leech...

The prospects were nothing special. They were never going to be elite. The draft this year is very weak and there won't be much left by the time its our pick. Finally, the pick next year may be nothing as we may not have a season.

Btw, Leetch has made our power play 2-2 so far with 2 points. Sounds worth it to me. :p

This isn't the time of year that you can swap an extra defenceman for a winger or do any other retooling. It's too late for that.

The sellers (who are out of the playoff hunt) want to move their high priced talent and get youth and/or picks.

The buyers want to exchange some of their youth to get players who can help now without losing anybody off their roster.

Toronto has some young guys that should be untouchable. I wouldn't trade Stajan for anything. He's a young kid, who's polite, respectful and defensively responsible. You don't see that very often until they're much older.

Toronto doesn't have a lot of picks left. Last years Nolan trade sent away our some of our 2004 picks and Leetch sent away our 1st rounder for 2004 (although probably no higher than the 22nd overall pick) and a 2nd rounder for 2005.

I wouldn't want to move Coliacavo or Hedin. Young defencemen are always valued. They were higher up on the depth chart than Kondratiev. I really don't know where Immonen fit in but it couldn't have been that high up at all.

Is that why all the blockbuster trades happen at the deadline? I mean, even big-name players can be traded for other big-name players. No one's untouchable (well, unless they have a no-trade clause... and even then they can waive it). Don't automatically assume that Toronto is done just because you like all their players.

LMFAO! Those are from this year! Not last year! Look at the wire deals. You're talking about the future deals, correct, not the present deals? You say there's not a snowflake's chance in hell that Toronto is going to trade anymore, correct? Just go through and look at the wire trades from previous years. It'd be naive to assume that Toronto is done for sure. They may be done, but how you can say they're done for sure is beyond me.

We seem to play up for the tough ones but when it should be an easy 2 we always find a way to blow it. :(

      Those are some popular multiplayer games. But hardly "all". Just those that don't work on Linux currently due to specific anti-cheat implementations. I think it's also fair to point out the literally thousands of games that don't work on the PS5. And it's not locked at 1080p. That's the default, which you can change.

For those who are not familiar, Livepatch allows users to apply important kernel updates without any service interruption or rebooting. While home users will benefit from this, it’s even more important for critical machines that absolutely should not be going offline at all. The feature is available as part of Ubuntu Core 26 for Arm64 and Ubuntu Core 20 and onwards for AMD64. According to Canonical, this will improve the security of systems that aren’t security-maintained daily or weekly, and it helps organizations work towards Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) compliance. If you are familiar with Ubuntu, you probably know that most packages can be updated without having to restart the system. There is one big exception to this, and that’s the kernel; it typically requires you to reload the system to boot into the new kernel. With Livepatch, Canonical has done something so that you don’t need to restart to begin using the new kernel.       Meta announces a major leadership change at WhatsApp by Pradeep Viswanathan Meta has announced a major leadership change at WhatsApp, with Will Cathcart stepping down after seven years of leading the world's largest messaging platform. CRED CEO and founder Kunal Shah will take over as the next global head of WhatsApp. CRED is an Indian fintech company focused on creditworthy consumers. As part of the transition, Meta is also making a minority investment in CRED through its Series H funding round. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Will Cathcart will remain at Meta and move into a new role focused on building new products from the ground up. Cathcart led WhatsApp during a major growth phase, helping the app reach more than 3 billion users worldwide. He also played a key role in expanding WhatsApp’s business offerings while keeping privacy and end-to-end encryption central to the product. Meta’s Chief Product Officer, Chris Cox, said Kunal Shah was selected after a search for a leader who understands WhatsApp’s global scale and future potential. In a leaked internal memo, Cox described Shah as a “serial founder” and one of India’s most respected entrepreneurs, adding that he brings “entrepreneurial energy” and a strong product mindset to the role. As part of the Series H funding round, CRED is raising ₹8,550 crore, or about $900 million, in a round led by Meta. The funding values CRED at ₹43,239 crore, or about $4.5 billion, on a post-money basis. It is important to note that this investment will not give Meta access to CRED customer information.       It wouldn't be hard for me to turn off my TV, if I had one. For one thing, I never scroll Instagram. The only reason I have an account is because Meta created one when it merged the account systems for its various services.
