Thanks. He abandoned his current script for something smaller, so I guess we'll never know now. :)

It is Copperplate Gothic, but I dropped the sig. I probably wont get around to making a new one till later on this week, too busy. And I'm a girl.

It dosent say your using home

I know it doesn't, the only reason I made that comment was because I swore one of those sig's saying "Windows XP Professional." Usually when I see 'Windows XP,' I think Home edition because most of the time people are specific and say Pro when they have it. Erm..yeah, whatever..not important...

My Win XP computer is working fine, but my Linux (Fedora Core) computer gives me this message:

yasuc

Could not resolve hostname: Success

Anyone know what's wrong? I downloaded the latest version from the uptime site.

It refuses to update btw.

After reading this thread, I kinda lost track of all the other related threads, do i need to read em? or are they just for specific things like custom sigs and stuff?

the other threads are mainly about the custom sig stuff.. so you can *safely* ignore it.. unless you want to contribute..

Just a thought..

Is there a registry key you can edit to make your uptime more than it is? I wouldn't call it cheating.. just, uh, 'stretching the truth'

Nope, I spoke with the client creator and he assured me that there was no way to 'cheat' eerr.. i mean stretch the truth.

ill do this once i get my compaq server set up

sorry, but that made me giggle a bit.. i'm sure compaq has become more reputable now.. ;)

And I'm a girl.

Sorry.

ok i finally got it to work. hey BxBoy check your PM's.

got it, thanks for the offer. It's been put on reserve! thumb.gif

Heh, been a bit busy... finished the XML reader a LONG time ago, but the cache thing is annoying me :pinch: I'm storing it all in one XML file but I don't see a way to change the last cache time without rewriting it all =/

On a side note, I killed the server (my comp too) by trying to install a fan for my new processor :D which broke the arm off... so I have to get a new one tomorrow... I hate being on a 500mhz machine

How about storing it in a mySQL database? We thought about doing that.

Sure, Compaq and HP servers are great, it's the workstations and PCs you have to watch out for. I have 2 Compaqs at work, Win2k and UNIX.

That's true, I heard that Microsoft uses Compaq Servers. The server end is great, but the workstation and especially the laptop end needs a lot of work. Finding drivers for them are essentially impossible, they are no where on their site. So I had to look alternatively for them. Since then, I got a bit annoyed at Compaq..

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
