Jurassic World [2015] - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0369610/?ref_=nv_sr_1

The special effects are totally mastered and some action scenes are quite good but everything else, from the characters to the storylines, some of them totally useless, introduced out of the blue then totally forgotten for the rest of the movie , is either a cliché or a product placement.

3/10 and that includes 2 for the special effects ...

Nominated for the Oscar for Totally unneccesary reboot of a franchise that should have been left as a fossil in the ground

Inside Out [2015] http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2096673/?ref_=nv_sr_1

An all family friendly movie that is very fun to watch and leaves you very emotional. I am so Meta!

9/10

Nominated for the Oscar for 'God Dammit, Pixar, I cried again watching one of your movies!'

Minions-new-poster-movie-2015-2.thumb.jp

Minions [2015] - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2293640/?ref_=nv_sr_1

A movie with plenty of zazzyness that will get some giggles from all family members.

8/10

Nominated for the Oscar for Frankenstein movie that escaped its creators to sell a truckload of merchandising

Avengers-Age-of-Ultron-Official-Movie-Po

Avengers: Age of Ultron [2015] http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2395427/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Predictable, reheated themes (modern Frankenstein monster as an artificial intelligence escapes the control of its creator) and oozing with fan service.

A generic comic book movie too PG-13 for its own good. Meh.

5/10

Nominated for best trailer for the next Disney-produced Marvel movie.

Terminator-Genisys.thumb.jpg.4155374cf6b

Terminator Genisys [2015] http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1340138/?ref_=nv_sr_1

I expected an absolute total catastrophe but it is only a catastrophe. The idea of the movie is rather interesting and well introduced: basically the events of the first Terminator do not unfold as expected as the timeline has been somehow changed. From that point, it should have been expect the unexpected. Sadly, the trailer gave the one thing that made the movie have an unique approach on the theme. From that point, the path of the movie is set into a serie of clichés that you can see coming miles away. The next movie is also spoiled.

The casting is rather bad: Jai Courtney (Kyle Reese) is dunb and Emilia Clark (Sarah Connor) does not fit that role.

That movie could have been so much better but it feels ackward and rushed.

3/10

Nominated fro Best franchise that is beyond salvation even if we go back in time to save it

Black-Sea-2015-movie-poster.thumb.jpg.94

Black Sea [2015] http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2261331/

Plot: A recently fired submarine captain takes a job with a shadowy backer: he assembled a misfit team of British and Russian sailors to search the depths of the Black Sea for a Nazi submarine rumored to be loaded with gold.

It is not an action movie: this is a psychological drama thriller of the slow dive of men driven by their own greed and jealousy.

The movie is rather predictable and has the mandatory load of submarines clichés, what saves it is the very good interpretation of the characters: Jude Law in particular is quite good as the obsessional commander.

Not the movie of the year but definitively worth a rental: 6/10

These are the last 3 movies I've watched. Star Wars in IMAX was alright, I figure I could have watched it the same way on a regular screen and spent less money.

I'm going to see The Hateful Eight in the theatre (even though I watched the DVD screener yesterday), I thought it was really good.

Creed was a movie I would only watch once.

Went last night to a private screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Just two words: epic and amazing! Definitely my favorite movie of the year, and the best Star Wars episode to this date!

Forgot to mention I went to see it too on Thursday night (spur of the moment with a couple of work colleagues), and yeah, it was very good. There was a scene I did have a bit of a gripe with, but I'll keep things spoiler-free on here and not say what it was.

    • KillerPDF 1.4.2 by Razvan Serea KillerPDF is a lightweight, portable PDF editor for Windows built for users who want full control without subscriptions, installers, or telemetry. It runs as a single executable, making it ideal for USB use and field work. You can view PDFs with smooth PDFium rendering, navigate quickly with thumbnails, zoom, and shortcuts, and reorganize pages using drag-and-drop. It supports merging multiple PDFs, splitting documents, and extracting selected pages. KillerPDF also allows inline text editing with font matching to preserve the original layout, plus annotations like text boxes, freehand drawing, highlights, and reusable signatures. You can search full text, copy content easily, and print documents with flattened annotations. Designed as a free and open alternative to bloated PDF tools, it works fully offline on Windows 10/11 x64. No runtimes install. Everything needed is inside the EXE (targets .NET Framework 4.8, which ships with every supported Windows release). KillerPDF key features: High-quality PDF rendering via PDFium Edit PDF text inline (double-click to modify text) Page thumbnails and fast navigation with zoom and shortcuts Merge multiple PDFs into one Split PDFs and extract selected pages Drag-and-drop page reordering Font matching to preserve original document appearance Text boxes for notes Freehand drawing tools Highlight overlays with adjustable color, size, opacity Undo actions and clear per-page annotations Create, draw, and save reusable signatures Click-to-place signatures anywhere Full-text search with highlighted results Drag-select or Ctrl+A to copy text Print with annotations flattened Portable single-file app (~10 MB) No installer, no admin rights required No account, no telemetry KillerPDF 1.4.2 changelog: What's new PDF form filling. Interactive PDF forms now render their fields (text inputs, checkboxes, radio buttons) as live controls. Fill them in directly and save — field values are written back into the PDF. PDF outline (bookmark) navigation. A new OUTLINES tab in the sidebar displays the document's bookmark tree. Click any entry to jump to that page. The sidebar auto-fits its width to the longest entry on open and can be dragged wider; switching back to PAGES snaps to the pages-mode width. Fixed Page rotation no longer reverts after saving. Rotations applied via the sidebar context menu now persist correctly through the save pipeline. Copied text words were out of order on PDFs where glyphs are stored in non-reading order (Issue #66). Text extraction now sorts words by position and uses a dynamic line-grouping threshold so both drag-select and Select All produce correctly ordered output. PDFs with malformed or non-standard XRef tables now open in read-only mode instead of showing "Invalid entry in XRef table" and failing entirely. • The very fact that a TPM (v2.0 specifically which is part of the issue I suspect) is now a baseline for any supported Windows installation will naturally mean other vendors will start to leverage it as they know it'll be there. It's called progress, and it's always been the way. A TPM isn't a windows thing, it's just a module designed to securely store keys. Secure boot isn't a Windows thing (although MS are the TCA as I recall hence the upheaval this year as the 2011 certs expire), it's just a way to verify a bootloader is signed. Windows simply leverages them.
    • It's a local account with the ability to reset a password at a very base level. I really don't get the issue that gets whipped up around it But you do you
