Yeah, sorry... had to take a bunch down... talkin' to a couple people about uploading it to theirs, so we'll see. :)

@DigitalFreedom - Yeah, this little proggie is quite popular, huh? ;) Who'd have ever thought?

@trentm - The file you got wasn't Beta... it was the final release, just that bug was discovered before links were given out and was pulled down and uploaded with a fix. I just have no idea how some people got it. haha

hmm intresting no harm done.. atleast its a simple fix :)

I think you should put a note on the front web page saying that you are needing people who can help distrube the flie!

Well I'll be adding to the site tonight and this weekend, good idea, I think I will. (Y)

lol, yes, who would of ever thought :D, lol, even though it "says" my big file is down, people are still tryin g to download it, with a 97.6% fail rate of getting the file off my server even thou it says itd down here and i bocked it ( wondering to my self how did that 2-3% get through  ) as as of last time i checked,6000 people have tried my "down" link for the full down link :p, as for my update link which is upsomething like 7000 people have tried to download from me with a failed, or canecled of 7.96%

If you do the math, it's probably at 500+ downloads in the time it took to download 110 GIG, Can't imagine what the big guys serve in 4 hrs! THAT IS INSANE!!

lol, in all reality that is only one hour of downloading, because i only back up every 3 hours, and about like half an hour before my next auto backup (its automated) you guys killed it, so i don't know what the real GB of downloading is but it must be alot bigger

I just want to say thank you for inventing AutoPatcher XP.. I had to format my dads laptop this afternoon and there was no NIC drivers, so when I went to burn the drivers off I thought why not give AutoPatcher XP a try.. this thing is a lifesaver! Thank you SO MUCH!

There is a new patch available for Windows XP and it doesn't come from Microsoft. Since Microsoft decided to take December off and not release any new patches, someone else did.

Details and download available for free here:

That's old news. They temporarily pulled the file so it could no longer be downloaded, fixed it and re-released it. It's all explained on the link I left.

i figured that, but if someone messes up once...it's possible to do it again.

i'll stick to official patches...but that's just me.

    • I think the car analogy is more this: Left hand drive, basic commands on the left side of the infotainment screen. Right hand drive, basic commands on the right side of the infotainment screen. Granted, you're not swapping between the two often so it's doesn't really work. But it's to do with the proximity of you (your mouse, or the driver) to the controls.
    • I mean, the old one was broken and so stupidly complex for many users, so I don't see that as a feasible option. A context menu needs to be simple to use, and for me the Windows 11 style actually worked really well for me, and many others. I used to have to scroll the damn context menu just to get to "file properties" in Windows 10. That was not a good experience, and I'm sure you'd agree. What they're trying to do is make it the best of both worlds, as clearly you'd prefer the Win10 style. I'm curious how they're going to do this.
    • The "Show more options" has its place, as does the simpler context menu, but it should perhaps be a separate fly-out rather than relaunching the entire, old context menu. The old context menu was getting absurd in Windows 10. Often I'd have to make the context menu scroll just to get to "File properties" on my old laptop. Even without much installed, the amount of items was just too much. It's a context menu, not a "do all" menu. Making it configurable is fraught with challenges too, so I'm interested to see how Microsoft tackles this one.
    • I don't hate the new menus, I am not a fan of the lack of features and how they went live when they clearly are not complete. The menu itself presents much better than the previous - but what's lacking (IMO) is: 1) Any kind of automated manipulation such as: "this goes on the new menu because you use this feature more often on this filetype" "this is rarely used and will fall back to the old menu" 2) Any kind of user manipulation such as: "a UI to add/remove/order items to the new menu"
