All I can find about this error number is:

0x80070005
E_ACCESSDENIED
General access denied error.

Which corresponds to the error message Groove shows but doesn't help us much.

I spent some time looking into it and the only thing I find is fixes for windows RT, 8.0 and 8.1. Which they basically say to uninstall the program and reinstall it and clear the temp cache. Of course you have to use powershell to uninstall Groove and TV and Film (have to do both on 10).

Hi Raphael

I need sync my music library with a multimedia server in my home with cellphones and tablets of my family (i added a basic diagram). this sync is two way if i make a change on laptop this change will be on devices and viceversa.

I see that you added to posibility to export a playlist to m3u, but what hapend when i make a change in that playlist: i have to export again the playlist, right?

in Windows 7 i was using WMP and if i make a change in playlist, the m3u file was changed inmediatly by WMP, can you add this functionality to dopomine?

thanks in advence

Wow you put some work in that diagram :) I'm not saying no to this feature. However it means rethinking some things concerning internal playlist handling and storage. So it won't be done quickly. I'm adding it to my tasklist as a feature request for now. And I'd also like to know the following: does wmp let you choose the folder to which it saves the playlsits or does it always use a default one?

That was some heavy evening. I spent some time on twitter with someone having indexing issues. I made sure this cannot happen anymore. Anyway, long story short, I've been busy again. This is the result for the next build (not yet released, but very soon. I'm testing it today and tomorrow):

24-08-2015: Dopamine 1.0.0.322 (Preview)

- The splash screen now reflects the chosen color scheme
- Fine tuned the UI
- Fixed some indexing issues
- Added "Open with" support for playlist files

And now I'm getting a beer :)

One behavior I noticed earlier - I don't know if it has been brought up - is that switching audio source in Windows doesn't change it in Dopamine (Dope keeps playing on the previous device)

That's possible. I'm not monitoring audio source changes.

Edit: l logged it as a bug, to be checked later.

Thanks for considering it, well WMP let me choose the folder... Save as dialog

A small request. When skipping songs in Cover Player, I can't see the song name until I move by mouse over the Album art. That makes skipping tracks slower. Maybe displaying the track info for 1 or 2 seconds may help.

It's not 100% what you are asking for, but there is an option in the right click menu to always show the song info:

Woah, that looks awesome! I love the UI!

Thanks!

I have noticed one small visual thing when using the micro or nano player.  If I have the player at the bottom of the screen (I keep it in the bottom right corner of my second monitor), when you click the Playlist button, the list appears off the bottom of the screen.  I'm not sure what you would do to fix this, if it can be fixed.  Maybe have the list display upwards if the list will show off the bottom of the screen?  Not sure what you can do with this, if anything.

A new build is available. Changelog:

25-08-2015: Dopamine 1.0.0.325 (Preview)

- Added "Open with" support for playlist files
- The splash screen now reflects the chosen color scheme
- Added a spectrum analyzer to the Micro Player
- Fine tuned the UI
- Fixed possible indexing issues
- Fixed issue to select the progress bar on the Micro and Nano Player after minimizing the window

HI thanks fro notifying me of this. I'm not sure yet how to solve it, but I'm logging it as a bug.

Sneak peek of the fancy stuff I'm trying for the next build. Transparent playlist for the micro and nano player. It even opens at the top of the window when there is no room to display it at the bottom. That should solve the bug that someone had a bit higher in the thread.

I can't open nowplaying screen in this build. Also in "information->about" it still says build 307

That's an incredibly old build, are you sure you downloaded the latest? I let the app download the relevant version and I see build 325 and now playing opens fine.

Any chance of the option to pin artists to the jumplist being added?

Pardon the rough mockup :p

That's actually a neat idea. Let's add that!

Is this with the installable or portable version? It sounds like a dll-mixup.

I downloaded the newest installable version, but seems like it cannot properly replaced the previous version. I try to uninstall the old build to do a clean install then it works flawlessly.

    • Weekend PC Game Deals: Resident Evil, Mafia, Like a Dragon, and more by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place every week for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets. The Epic concluded its mystery giveaways this week with another double freebie promotion. As a part of this, you can now grab Rogue Waters and Songs of Conquest to keep. Songs of Conquest is a turn-based 4X strategy game where you'll be managing a kingdom, making tough decisions, and taking down enemy forces in tactical combat. Meanwhile, Rogue Waters is a roguelike where, as a pirate captain, you command a ship and crew through procedurally generated encounters. The double giveaway is coming to an end on June 11. On the same day, Warhammer 40K Speed Freeks will join in as the next freebie. Another Humble Choice offer was revealed earlier this week, bringing a refreshed eight-game selection to jump into. The June selection is Octopath Traveler 2, The Riftbreaker, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, INDIKA, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, Construction Simulator, Hell Clock, and Overlooting to keep as Steam keys. The $15 bundle gives you all eight games from this month's Choice selection. The month-long promotion will come to an end on July 6, giving you ample time to decide on whether you want the titles. The Humble Store also brought in standard gaming collections this week. The IGN Live Bundle kicked things off with games like Control, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, Blair Witch, Rollerdrome, and The Last Campfire for $10. At the same time, the We Will Always be Here bundle carried in titles like Bad End Theater, Thirsty Suitors, Vampire Therapist, and Tavern Talk for $12. Next, the 2K Sports Champions Bundle comes touting games like NBA 2K26, PGA TOUR 2K25, OlliOlli World Rad Edition, and TopSpin 2K25 with a hefty $25 price tag. Lastly, the Redline Racing Bundle is touting games like Art of Rally, Descenders, Mudrunner, and Assetto Corsa Competizione with a $10 price tag. • Exciting! It’s amazing how hearing Japanese can naturally enhance the perceived quality of any experience or product.
    • Your other comment in another article says otherwise, namely "Microsoft veteran wants to replace every single line of C/C++ code with Rust and AI".
    • Sued and... exonerated. Oh, they learned a lesson alright. They learned that anyone who uses the word "antiturst" in conjunction with "Microsoft" is an idiot, even if that person is Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson. That judge ruined the image of the US justice system. Microsoft Edge has a 5.14% market share. Also, Windows is no longer the #1 OS. None of this constitutes a monopoly. Google Chrome, however, has 70.25% share. Also, Google's Android is the #1 OS. Now that's closer to a monopoly.
